The School plays a very important role in raising confident kids who become a go getter when they grow older.
Story of a little girl who proved that it’s never too difficult to achieve your goals.
We had to move to Udaipur in the mid session, when #mybigmuffin had just started reading words like ‘Cat’ and ‘apple’ at her school in Mumbai.
The moment I saw the books at her new school in Udaipur, I realised that according to the school’s syllabus she was supposed to know how to read and spell words like – ‘always’, ‘could’ , ‘because’. When I spoke to the principal ( whom I really admire), she assured me that they would do their best to help our little girl cope with the missed studies.
I wasn’t sure if we would be able to cope soon, specially because we had joined mid term.
When I spoke to #mybigmuffin and discussed this, she had just one thing to say – “Mama, we can do this’. She had a great confidence in her tone and I felt so proud of her.
We spoke to the school and requested for 3 month’s time so that we too could work on getting to the same level as the other kids in her class.
Within 2 months she was ready. Not just with English and other subjects but she also worked really hard to get her Hindi to the required level.
We didn’t study 24/7 .
All we did was follow a set routine where we practiced together.
This picture was taken at her school’s Award ceremony the day forthe medals Olympiad and Spellbee were being awarded. Everytime her name was called out – #mylittlemuffin (my younger daughter) and I cheered? the loudest ??.
With teary eyes and an Expression like that of Kajol ( from Kabhi Khushi kabhi gham), I knew I was looking at someone who knew from the beginning that no obstacle is too big to stop you.
I want to thank the entire team of @cisudaipur and the principal @rathoreshikha29 who helped us raise our girls in the most beautiful way. They have played a very important role in making our girls independent and confident. They believed in our girls, and helped them achieve their goals with great love and care.
It’s time for us to move again and I will forever be thankful to the school.
Wishing all the best to the entire Crossroads International School Team.
Stay tuned to know more about how they helped my little one.
